As manager of the All Americans, Jerry has lead the team to the League Tournament Championship in 1987, 1988, 1989, 1991, 1995, 1998 and 2003. He lists his proudest achievements as providing a showcase for amateur baseball talent, to allow the young men involved to progress in their college and professional careers.
Upon graduation from Euclid (Ohio) High school, Jerry turned down a contract to pitch for the Philadelphia Phillies to enter the University of Notre Dame, where he graduated in 1963. He received his Juris Doctorate degree from the Ohio State University College of Law in 1966.
He is a practicing attorney in Columbus, but during the summer he trades his lawyer’s garb for the uniform he loves most- the red, white, and blue of the All Americans. He resides in Upper Arlington with his wife, Janice, and son, Robby. His adult children, Michael and Nicole, also live in central Ohio.
Brian Mannino is starting is in his fifth season as Head Baseball Coach for the Columbus All Americans. He spent three years as head field manager under head coach John Mazza prior to the 2002 season. Following graduation from The Ohio State University in 1995, Brian spent six years as the volunteer assistant coach for the Buckeye Baseball program.
Brian was a two-time All American and two-time First Team All Big Ten honoree. He was a Captain for the Buckeyes in 1995. He finished his career with four Big Ten Championships. Brian finished his OSU baseball career as the schools all-time hits and RBI leader. He still ranks among the top ten in batting average, home runs, runs scored, doubles, at bats, and walks.
His professional career started in 1995 with the Sullivan County Mountain Lions of the Northeast League as a catcher and infielder. He also spent a summer in Rhode Island playing for the Tigersharks. In the summer of 1998, he was asked back as an assistant coach with the Paints. Brian was the hitting coach and first base coach for the Paints.
A Cincinnati native, he attended Cincinnati McNicholas High School where he set the school record for home runs and batting average. He played summer baseball for the Midland organization in Cincinnati. His parents Charlie and Debbie Mannino still live in Cincinnati.

This is Pat Schmidt's first year as pitching coach of the All-Americans.
A 1997 graduate of Bellefontaine High School, where he was a second-team All-Ohio honoree following his junior and senior seasons, Schmidt was a 22nd round draft pick by the Atlanta Braves. A left-handed pitcher, Schmidt played four years of professional baseball before returning to his home state and earning a bachelor's degree from Ohio State University in 2005.
Schmidt currently teaches at Hilliard Davidson High School and resides in Columbus. He has high school coaching experience after a three-year stint as an assistant at Olentangy Liberty High School.
