Since 1976, the Columbus All-American baseball team has been providing the opportunity for collegiate aged players to showcase and hone their skills during a summer season.  These players have been invited to Columbus to play their peers and be coached by some of the most notable names in college baseball. The most interesting aspect of this program is that players use woods bats rather than the metal bats used in school seasons, to set the stage for their transition to professional careers in baseball.
